Capabilities

Bandwidth and Connectivity

Time Warner Telecom Dedicated Transport Services is at the heart of the co-location facility, providng point-to-point high capacity channels for full duplex, synchronous optical transmission of digital data on SONET standard rates between 155 Mbps (OS-3) and 4.4 Gbps (OC-48).

Utilizing Ethernet handoff, SATC Co-Location Services can process the bandwidth demands of any company - period.

Customer connections in San Antonio are terminated at the Time Warner POP, which is connected to the Time Warner Telecom Internet backbone at 90 Mbps. There are two DS-3 connections - one from San Antonio to Austin and one from San Antonio to Houston, to ensure reliable service.
 
Backup Power
Backup power is currently being delivered via client provided uninterruptible power supplies (UPS). A 50KvA backup power generator has been ordered and will be installed in the near future.
 
Security
Access to the premises is controlled by a biometric access control system. The entrance is secured with electronic door locks. Security alarm systems and video surveillance cameras monitor both the interior and exterior of the facility.
